Modern Era of Art
The modern era, describes the historical timeline after the Middle Ages. Modern history can be further broken down into the early modern period and the late modern period. Contemporary history describes the span of historic events that are immediately relevant to the present time.The term is usually associated with art in which the traditions of the past have been thrown aside in a spirit of experimentation. It extends roughly from 1860s to the 1970s. It began with the painters Vicent Van Gogh, Paul Cezanna, Pual Gauguin, and Georges Seurat.
